8. Peyto Lake – Canada

Peyto Lake is a gorgeous mountain lake in Banff National Park, Alberta. This is the deepest lake in Canada, and it is also the most accessible to visitors. The water looks clear, and it’s at an elevation of 2,300 meters above sea level.
It’s great for swimming, canoeing, fishing and hiking. There are several trails nearby that offer stunning views of the lake, including one through beaver ponds and another along a path with wildflowers blooming in springtime (May to June).
